Verbal & Non-Verbal Message In Advertisements
We always see an advertisement everywhere in our daily life. It has a big role today to our life because it is something that always be a mind opener to the people who saw the advertisement. What is really mean for the advertisement are public notices designed to inform or motivate people. To deliver the message from an advertisement directly to the hearts of the people in the world firstly it must be an eye catcher like the image been used in the advertisement are interesting or something that was extraordinary to us. Furthermore, the message must be clear to people so they easy to understand the meaning that the advertiser want them to know. Besides that, an advertisement is always been performed in two ways which is first the verbal message which consider a direct confrontation to the people and no hidden messages behind it and it is straight forward.The other one is non verbal message which is for the audience to remember, love and physiologically makes contact with the audience which make it more interesting.

Nowadays, many of advertisement used non verbal message type to express their message to their audience. I think that this type of advertisement is more understand that verbal type in advertisement. It is more simple and easy to understand.
ReplyDeleteFor me, non verbal type give me more passion and excitement of to know about the advertisement. imagine if its just word on the advertisement, the feeling of to know about the advertisement is low.
I think non verbal in advertisement is more better than verbal type but both of them is important in advertisement. Some advertisement need verbal type.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I see in this post. I totally agree with Noorsyafiq. From what I observe on the advertisement, I supporting based on point of Noorsyafiq wrote about non-verbal message. It does not need verbal message because it already have something that make the advertisement good.
ReplyDeleteThe guy chasing the Pepsi to get it, it tells the people how the Pepsi really need from the guy. It also telling the Pepsi is look delicious drink and contain something that make people want it.

ReplyDeleteNon-verbal message sometime are more efficient than verbal message, because non verbal message give people space to think and the thinking make them remember what are they seeing example like this advertisement, which showing people chasing over the single tin of pepsi. however this type of message only can be use if the person were interested to watch to advertisement that been advertise as it need a sometime to think rather than direct to the point verbal message.
ReplyDeleteboth of combination verbal and non verbal message bring the perfection to the advertisement as for people to read or watch depend on people who saw it.
i do prefer the straight away gives meaning in verbal message. Because sometimes, when people see an advertisement with non verbal messages, they tend to think something else. and the outcome is everyone think in the different way.
ReplyDeleteBut if we look this in a creative way, maybe non verbal messages does make people became a creative thinker. Because they can think about the advertisment and gives out creative idea on their mind.
